I was finishing the mechanicals for a book today. When I got to the end, I felt bad for the last page sitting there empty.
So I put this in there.
For those of you not in publishing, the “paste downs” are the pages that hold the bound book to the cardboard cover. It’s complicated. And boring. But I got a joke out of it!

Thanks for enlightening me as to what a “paste down” is. I never thought about it before. It’s always great to learn new terms. I love your illustration; it makes the paste downs so human!
